In more ways than one.

Dad confiscated my modem, hence I was kept away from the line for awhile. Reason? Well, it's something regarding electricity bills. Even that didn't keep me down forever though. Although, being locked away from the Internet was, I admit, quite depressing, albeit meaning I got to spend more time with 麗夢ちゃん. And it was then I actually found out, embarrassingly:

Hilarious? I took that long to find out. But since I played alot of Koumakyou with 麗夢ちゃん before going onto the other games, naturally I had a passive ability to feel our hitbox. After I realised it was visible in the other games, it just made things a heck load easier. I'm still far from beating 妖夢 senseless though. たいへんでもぜ。。。 So anyway, I got it back again. Hopefully for a long time. There's so much I missed out without the Internet.

Next, facing cash problems again. This, I never get sick of. I miss the days I worked at that beef bowl restaurant. At least I get paid, which means I could walk around. Right now, my wallet is locked tight. There shouldn't even be any point in bringing it out in these times, suddenly it feels like just a habit. I've tried saving and cutting costs personally, guess it's the allowance problem, or my basic expenditure, seeing as I'm out of part-time work. For the time being. Once I get a part-time job, things will definitely be better. I know it.

Well well well, it looks like somebody else has been Locked away, ぜ! Nice of Marisa to turn up and drag our poor, isolated and beloved bookworm out for a spin. But it looks like 魔理沙 had to thrash up the entire Scarlet Devil Mansion household single-handedly to do it... well, she's up to it anyway. And knowing what she normally does, it's perfectly natural that the Scarlet gang greets her with so much love. It's really comforting to see パーチュリ smiling so happily once in awhile. Patchouli is, after all, still a girl.

And godsdamnit, I love that song...

I realized I haven't been using much 日本語 lately, even around the house. How shameful. That's the problem with English-speaking: Once you get stuck using it repeatedly for a long period of time, you never really use other languages as often anymore. Hell, even the vending machines are in English. The manga I'm buying nowadays are also English-translate. It's funny to see how the original scripts get Westernized.

On a Touhou note, I went to download the PC-98 Touhou game series. Now most of the kids today would sneer at the graphics, immediately dismissing it as 'Lousy game'.

"Why?"
"The colour sucks."

I, however, haven't seen those kind of games in years. It really brings back a nostalgic feeling. So rather than getting disgusted at the lack of high-end colouring (and PC-98 Reimu chan, with the tortoise), I was thoroughly enjoying myself playing 封魔録. It made me feel 8 years old again, with all the electronic beeping music and 8-bit colour. Although PC-98 Reimu makes me want to... well, she might be lurking. I won't comment on that.

On another Touhou note, I'm getting more and more tempted to do an Aya, and take pictures of the Touhou boss Spell Cards from 紅魔郷 and up. Maybe I'll compile the pictures into albums and put them up here on MSN Spaces. If you're remotely interested, keep an eye out for updates on my Photos section.

It feels good to play such games again. Guess I'll be that young at heart for years ahead.

I've been drinking sencha instead of coffee nowadays. It's a nice change, not too bad. Like trading wakefulness for sophistication. With sakuramochi and cherry blossoms it'd be even more enjoyable. But it's not the season yet, regrettably...

Seems like I haven't been keeping up with my hobbies of late. Thankfully, after a few bits of random encouragement I've finally found the confidence to try and learn drawing again. So far it's been tiring: blowing off hours just sitting at the brightly-lit desk with a pad and pencil, just drawing anything random that comes to mind. At least I've learnt a few things about drawing now, and I can draw a pretty nifty chibi Shanghai Doll from memory with zero-reference. Hopefully I can accumulate enough skill and experience to draw something else even more kickass.

As of now, designing costumes for 鬼猫 and 彩音(あやね). I wouldn't rush the others for now, although I'd take a risky venture into attempting to attach a head and face to the costumes when I feel like it. Maybe it won't turn out too bad. I know I can draw decent hair and eyes now, although still too lazy to use guidelines as ロビン－姉 taught me.

And today I learn I cannot draw hands...
